Operational Clarity. Faster Change. Tighter Control.
Powered by
We believe that a clear understanding of processes and how they interact is critical in enabling a business to succeed.
With opmodal we capture business processes as a living repository - bringing benefits at every stage in the life of an organisation:
Defining the business
Transforming the business
Running the business
Clarity regarding business processes, ownership and dependencies.
Faster & more efficient change design and delivery, avoiding repeated discovery and reducing project spend.
Closer observation & better understanding of where costs, issues and risks exist.
Operational Clarity.
opmodal brings clarity to process ownership, visualises dependencies between flows - and provides a centralised repository of procedural & technical documentation.
-
View the business from the top down in the Process Hub.
-
Record any ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ models, track review & sign-off status, and use the opportunity to clarify process ownership.
-
Use the SIPOC representation in opmodal to provide clear operational understanding regarding how processes flow – and how they connect.
-
The Document Library provides an easy mechanism to link together any pre-existing procedural or technical documentation which already exists in your organisation.

Faster Change.
Quicker impact analysis, immediate clarity about where changes impact processes and how those processes relate to each other - much more efficient delivery of change.
-
Consistency of language for for process participants, allied to our contextual search saves huge amounts of time when performing impact analysis.
-
The Connected Processes function shows where a given process sits in the wider end-to-end flow within a business.
-
Copy any process state and use this as the basis for a evolved interim or target process state – and visually present the differences via the State Comparison tool.
-
Log any project risks, issues, actions & dependencies and link directly to the impacted processes for enhanced clarity.
Tighter Control.
Keep an eye on your business risks, issues, costs and process inefficiencies. Are the control type and individual control steps in a process consistent with the risk?
-
Full audit history of all design changes made to current and any interim or target process flows
-
Internal RAID Log to record any business risks, actions issues and dependencies – and link them to the impacted processes for absolute clarity.
-
Crystal clear process ownership and demarcation of lines of responsibility between different teams.
-
Time, average wait time and ratecard data can be captured against process steps to facilitate focus on areas of the business which require attention.

Development Roadmap
Q3 2023
Control Library
The ability to create Controls within opmodal and assign them to individual Process Steps. Could be further enhanced to allow (e.g.) uploading of documents or links to documents / checklists etc.
Test Metrics Upload
A new ‘Tests’ page in opmodal allows. User to load a JSON file containing links to Tests executed elsewhere (e.g. JIRA) and reflects these against the impacted Processes. Allows click through to the tests in the source system,
Hub - Test & RAID views
The Process Hub in opmodal has been enhanced to allow switchable views – can show Test Metrics or RAID item counts, as an alternative to the standard layout. Click through is then contextual when selecting a Process.
Q4 2023
Requirement Generation >ADO
Allowing the User to trigger the creation of Requirements from the Compare States function in opmodal. Will create Epic & Feature work items for export and upload to Azure DevOps (ADO) in the first iteration.
Requirements Management
Extending the initial Requirements functionality, allowing the user to add sub-requirements (User Stories, Tasks) to the Epics & Features.
Process Swimlane View
This gives the ability to switch between the default opmodal process flow, a Table view of Process Steps - or the new Swimlane view
Q1 2024
Process Improvement Metrics
We already have good data capabilities in opmodal regarding Time & Cost per process step, and the process Health Score components. We will be exposing this to the Process Hub and adding further process metrics: No. Manual Steps & No. Systemic Steps.
Azure DevOps API
Pending client take-up / feedback regarding the Requirements generation and management, we may extend this functionality to utilise the ADO Rest API.
Search > Connected Processes
The ability to present Search results in opmodal as (optionally) the Connected Processes view. Would give a visual guide to all impacted Processes. Likely some extension of Search function / combination of Search & Filter.
Q2 2024
Connected Process updates
Connected Processes view currently shows the Process ID & Name for each node. We plan to enhance this view to provide similar functionality to the Process Hub. e.g. the inclusion of Test Status, test metrics, RAID metrics, Requirements status.
Industry Topography
A Level Zero logical functional model, specific to industry sectors and participants which will act as a logical map overlay across opmodal.
Will present a logical view of the firm’s systems and capabilities, relevant within the sector.
Microsoft Teams Integration
Going one step beyond Single Sign On, integrating opmodal into Microsoft Teams to further enhance ease of use for Enterprise clients.
